Defo needs own thread.

OOP has it down for after Becker/Karlovic SF which kicks-off at 1.00pm local (9.00pm GMT)

That could mean 10-11pm start for the doubles here ?

123 Ranked D Martin

They mostly play together and have had some success in both futures and challengers. Martin has even played with Butorac ! Paired with Lipsky they beat Jamie and Colin Flemming in the Binghampton final last August. Both Lipsky and Martin have won titles with other players as well.

This year they made the Waikola final loosing in the CTB  12-10 to Evans / Oudsema.

So they will feel up for it but IMO Bootie and Jamie will be too good for them...just...could goto a CTB...this would be great if the lads could do it.

Go B/M.

I think they can win, like you say could go the distance but the B/M serving is just outstanding at the moment so I think they'll be very tough to break and therefore beat.

I don't understand the odds Johnny, but then I don't understand 'normal' odds either so I'm not really much help!

I'm watching this. Decided it was worth £4 for this match and Andy's semi. So i'll give commentary if wanted.

 Absolutely no idea what they mean !!!!  Must be a different system in the States

Murray and Bootie are now on court....I wonder if the match will be on the San Jose streaming ?

Regarding this match, it could be tricky for Murray and Bootie.

Lipsky and Martin made no less than 8 challenger finals last year, amazing that they didn't get a US Open wildcard. Both are on the brink of the top 100, reached the Waikoloa challenger final earlier this year. Before this tournament they hadn't done anything in an ATP event, this is their breakthrough at this level.

USM I offered the commentary, I don't need quite so many emoticons to be persuaded!

OK L/M are both wearing red tops and white shorts (I think, I saw them for two mins before it went to just audio whilst they warm up)

B/M are wearing blue t-shirts with white cross/stripe things down the back and white shorts (same as last week)

Commentator very very very biased towards the all US team already and he's only been talking for 30 secs!

Grrrrr @ that commentator

Just looked up my report on the  Fleming/Murray v Lipsky/Martin match in the Binghamton challenger final. Lipsky has a massive serve and forehand, that really did the damage that day, the Scots weren't able to get anywhere on his service games.

Don't know much about Martin apart from that he's a leftie.

I love it, they just told me that the winner will go into the final. Like that was the most amazing thing to happen to a winner of a semi! Sorry, I just love commentators they make me giggle.

LP just been predicted to win!

Lipsky to serve
second serve. 0-15, M missed forehand volley (out wide)
15-15, ace down T (past Jamie)
30-15, good wide serve, good return by Bootie, Jamie hits volley to bottom of net
40-15, ace down T again
second serve: game. Martin smashes volley through Jamie's feet.

1-0

Commentator just claimed LM are 2nd best doubles team in US
