ATP San Jose 2007 QF - Murray v HT Lee

It's Lee ...

QF: (3) Andy Murray WR 13 v (7) Hyung-Taik Lee (KOR) WR 54

Andy's match is 2nd on Center in the evening session on Friday, which means about 04.30 GMT on Saturday. Lee is one of the very few players to have achieved a career high in his 30s.

If Duckboy, Blakey and Spadea all win this evening, all 8 seeds will have made it to the QFs!

(the canine reference in the poll is a reference to the Korean dish of the day )

Blake lost in 3 to Karlovic....so if our man can dispense with Lee and the small task of maybe having to beat Roddick...It could be an easier final match with Blake gone !

That's good news, Blake was a set up when I closed the live scoreboard, so I wasn't expacting that! Bet the organisers aren't too pleased ...

Although Eurosport are beginning coverage of San Jose from today, disappointingly they're only showing Fish vs Karlovic from the QFs and are not showing the Murray match live overnight.

However it looks as though they plan to show both semis and the final live, so here's hoping he brushes Lee aside tonight

Okay guys...great news....the match is soon to begin....I am staying up later than expected as Roddick went to three sets....but the good news is that I have the game on TV? Anyone else have it on TV? I'll give you the low down each commercial deal?

Roddick just won....quality match in truth....in fact I thought Andy looked really good. Vince made him work for it....

Murray match will be on live soon....it is 10:15pm my time....9:15pm in SJ. Hopefully it will be a quick match so I can go to bed and Andy does not have a long night before the Semi.

My call, Andy in two....2&4....

The pre-match entertainment was quite funny - 6 members of the public, 3 serves each, fastest serve wins. From when I started watching, I counted 8 in a row that didn't manage to get more than 2/3 of the way up the net!

One of the women won with 85 mph.

Andy holds to 15. Looked very comfortable. I think he was only 1 for 5 on first serves. He seemed to be going to Lee's forehand on second serves....must be his weaker side.

1-0 Andy.

Andy looks quite rough tonight, like last year. Hair's getting too long again ... he's doing a passable impression of a member of the Hair Bear Bunch ...

Lee holds to love and looks comfortable.

Andy then survives a break point. He has come to net a couple of times S&V! Looks comfortable up there. He his a 138 mph ace, but also had two doubles hence the break point.

Henman Note....these guys reckon there is a fair chance that Henman will be in Vegas!!!
