Between now and Wimbledon:

Josh is defending 35 points.

Marray is defending 6 points

Alan is defending 35 points

Jamie Baker is defending 50 points (24 in may from those greek futures last year)

Greg is defening 165 of his 204 points before Wimbledon. he might want to start playing again.

Bloomers is defending 53 points.

Could be fun for Jonny M!

The others seem to have a genuine chance of defending and improving as Wimbledon is a good 4 months of tennis away!

Just hope they can actually do something ove rthe clay court season this year!

The What If? post for these three. (after challenger results from yesterday and ATP results that are in at time of writing)

Richard Bloomfield: Has 217 points. Can be overtaken by: Saulnier (sf of Marseille), Witten(win Joplin), Jones(win Joplin), Andujar(qf Brazil), Ram(f Joplin), Dorsch(rd2 of Joplin).
Best case: 186 (+1)
Worst case: 191 (-4) [I didn't check the Joplin draw so if those three are in the same half it is 190]

Josh Goodall: Has 190 points. Can be overtaken by: Baker!(win Joplin), Saulnier (qf of M), Witten (qf of Joplin), Jones(qf of Joplin).
Best case: 209 (+3)
Worst case: 213(-1)

Greg Rusedski: Has 189 points. Can be overtaken by: Baker!(win Joplin), Saulnier (qf of M), Witten (qf of Joplin), Jones(qf of Joplin).
Best case:  211(-11)
Worst case: 215(-15)

Have to say I'd be quite happy if Josh and Greg both lost places to Baker!

Witten and Dorsch both win overnight causing Bloomers to drop a place to 187 and Josh and Greg to feel the guys breathing down their necks.

(Bloomers drops a place to 187) Ram also advances.

Today, Andujar plays Montanes in CDS, while tonight Witten plays Young and Jones plays Niemayer. Both will overtake Josh and Greg if they win. Ram plays Simmonds (who'll overtake Jonny if he wins), Dorsch plays Russell, Kuznetsov plays Lammer, and Jamie plays Bozoljac.

It's Josh who's at 210 - Dorsch overtakes Richard, to knock him back to 187. Witten is now just 2 points behind Greg & 3 behind Josh.

Sorry, I meant Bloomers drops a place to 187 (as Rob said) because Dorsch won. Just got mixed up as to who is ranked where.

Saulnier  lost to Baghdatis in Marseille Mertl beat Skenderovic in Zagreb, and advances ;Witten lost to Niemayer, Ram lost to Jamie Baker in Joplin. Warburg lost Fish in San Jose.

Dieter Kindlmann advances onto the bottom of the table by reaching the semis in Barnstaple.

....All of which means that only Mertl can overtake Richard, if he wins the Croatia F1. So worst case is 188 for Richard, with Mertl's points only being applied a week on Monday. Mertl plays Lugassy today.

...and only Jamie Baker can overtake Greg and Josh, if he wins the tournament in Joplin . So worst case is 212 for Josh (no change) and 214 for Greg (down 14). Jamie, of course, plays Michael Russell today.
