It makes sense to take care of his body, and it'll give the younger guys a chance to come through too. He's done his duty and more as far as I'm concerned. It'll make selection interesting though especially if Cam is trying to make the WTF.
Just would love Andy to have a deep run before the year-end . He's certainly up for keeping giving it a go after each promising but ultimately frustrating week.

Me too, it would give me hope that he's going to be able to compete consistently at a high level again.

Interesting move from @andy_murray - Esteban Carril will be with him in Stockholm on a week's trial. Could be part of the team going forward - good to see Andy looking to 2022
Indeed. There has been a fair amount of encouragement in individual matches over the last few months even if not getting any big runs. And it does look as if he really wants to play on as long as he feels he is competitive.
Deep down he probably feels that that hip has robbed him of a lot of success with the territory being left so largely to Djoko now that Fed and Rafa are so much less around and much of the following generation being so underwhelming. But mainly he loves playing tennis.

Has Emma rejected Esteban Carril? Thought he was the front runner for her new coach.
