Thanx for all Craigs....read through the whole thread as could not stay up....great stuff from Murray and bootie....not unexpected though I did think they had more than enough class to win....when I spoke to Jamie at the Aberdeen cup he was really beaming about Cayer and how much it was boosting his confidence...he also knows that 2 or 3 times a year he will play with Andy which if needed gets him into higher qualify fields. He also said that he really is not bothered about singles....his last points drop off in the first half of this year....pity I thought but he can make more than enough money playing ATP doubles rather than scratching about in futures singles....as someone else posted....we will have two top fifty doubles players..very soon !
I checked out the result first thing, but have just read through the whole thread. Big thanks to the 2 Craigs, and to the night-owls here who stuck it to the end. It made fascinating reading.
Good stuff from Jamie and Eric. I think that they should stick to this partnership in the future. It'll take some time before they get into the Masters Series, but Jamie can play with Andy till then.

What did he say ? It is on the "doubles final interview" video - Craig mentions doing the blog on this site; Jamie actually doesn't get the name quite right, he says british tennis zone dot net - well, British Tennis Zone has been going longer, so you can understand the mix-up. He thanked us all for our support and said to keep watching!
Maybe somebody a bit quicker than I am can give his exact words - I have listened 3 times and gave up trying to transcribe them.
i’m here with Eric Butorac and Jamie Murray, 2007 AT&T Challenger doubles champions winning 64 67 107 in the final breaker. Let’s get your take on it what you got Jamie?
JM: erm, I think we played a good match, er we got a break early in the first set, maybe a good call on our side (smile). Then we had a couple of break points, chances in the second set, didn’t quite do it. they played a great tiebreak, I thought we had a good chance, and then the tiebreak came down to a couple of points, and we hit some good returns and we got the job done. So, (pumps fist in air) title for us!
Eric, you guys got down 20 in that last set buster, reeled off 7 straight… (EB: yeah)…you know, is your back hurting from carrying this guy? (points to Jamie) or what? (all laugh)
EB: yeah, no I don’t think that was it at all. Umm, I knew we could play a good breaker if we still got a lot of first serves going, um we kinda did that, popped a couple of returns, and then, um, yeah, chips kinda fell our way.
We did a live blog for the match, did one for er Britishtennis, and then of course on our website er, wanna give any shout outs to anybody in the country?
EB: yeah, I know a bunch of my buddies are back home watching. I got a hard time for not saying hi to my mum last time so I’d like to say hi to my mum and then, um, a couple of my buddies wanted to hear ‘bob and Rajeev, we got your chips’. (laughs)
JM: I gotta say hi to Britishtenniszone.net I know all you guys keep in touch with what, er not just me but all the other British guys, when we’re off travelling, playing tournaments, so um, hey to you (said with a fist pump) keep watching and keep supporting.
Congratulations guys, hope to see you back here next year. Good luck.

Article on the beeb, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the first paragraph is rubbish, Jamie won challengers with Colin Fleming didn't he? he definitely won futures titles. Maybe they meant first doubles title with Butorac?
