Maniel Bains is the only one who turned up. He won his first round match 1 and 1.

Great win for Bains, he's 17, will be 18 in April. Needs to start playing more futures as he's ranked in the 800s in the juniors. This is his last year on tour so it's unlikely he's going to reach the highest echelons of the junior circuit (ie: top 50) so he might as well start playing more futures qualies.

Bains now faces Russian 5th seed Alexey Milyutin in round 2. 16 year old Milyutin has a junior ranking of 493 (331 places higher) and defeated a Finnish player ranked outside the top 1000 6-1, 6-2 in rd1.

Go Bains!

Bains defeated the top seed by 2 and 2 before losing by 2 and 2 to the sixth seed and eventual winner Henri Kontinen of Finland.

Lost in the doubles quarterfinals.

I don't know what use the ranking points are going to be of. Hope this was good practice and he'll be playing Futures qualies soon.
