Should be interesting to see how our top juniors fare. Ratty, of all the players entered here, whose game do you think will be most effective on South American clay ?
From what I've heard, I think that Dyce and Milton will have some good results here. The other guys are more suited to fast courts, hopefully they can adapt.
Has played two G4s and one G3 on clay. He won both the G4s and reached the semis of the G3. He dropped a set each in the two G4s, both times in the finals.
Not bad...
Dan must be a treat to watch when he is on song. I wish I could see him action.
Yep, not bad, hopefully he can take that up to G2 level. Did he get any ranking points from those Spanish futures last year ? I think he qualified for several.
Would be v interesting to see a Dyce v Cox match, I think Cox would have the edge on faster surfaces, Dyce might have the edge on clay, would be too close to call on outdoor hard.
OK, understandable though as Spanish futures are some of the toughest in the world. Dan was only 15 then and would have been playing opponents who are much stronger physically.
Evans becomes the fourth seed and Thompson is fifteenth in the lists.
A floater who can be pretty dangerous is this 16 year old local wild card called Guido Pella. Pella is underranked because of lack of action (just played a G5, which he won after qualifying), but has made the quarters of a Futures on clay and has reached the finals of the Odesur Games. He is said to be the best player to have emerged from South America since Del Potro....
