Hang on. Jamie held serve to win the first set so Niland should serve first in this set which would imply that the third game was a break. But the livescore now says Baker 1-2* Niland
No it was actually a break of serve. Jamie was 0-2 down in the set but broke back for 1-2. The scoreboard guy just forgot to move the serve ticker over.
Jamie held for 2-2 and has now broke again to lead 3-2

Federer says that he used to smash loads of rackets in his youth so his coach set up a system in which he got fined everytime he smashed one and Fed said he had to stop overwise he would have gone broke !
Fed was a good player when he was 13 or 14, but that's it really. He wasn't even one of the best in Europe, forget the world. He started picking things up from 16 or so.
In fact, Fed's early junior career is highly lacklustre when you compare it to people like Mats Wilander or John McEnroe.
The real star in those days was Ollie Rochus.
Yeah it's amazing how rapidly Federer improved from 16 onwards, won the junior Wimbledon title when he was 18. Maybe keeping more of a calm temperament helped him. When he broke onto the tour he was then expected to zoom up the ranking and he quickly made top 32 but until 2003 he didn't make the breakthrough to the higher echelons of the game. He was perceived to have mental fragility - lost to guys like Luis Horna in rd1 of RG 2002 and Ancic in rd1 of Wimbledon that year. Amazing to think that Tommy Haas was rated as a much better prospect then Fed back then.
I didn't realise that Ollie Rochus was the big star, that's surprising. Did he win any junior slams ?
Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive.... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience
