Lots of Brits here, but I'm surprised not to see Morgan Phillips on the list. He would have been seeded for qualifying either here or at Feucherolles.

Murcia and Valencia are really close (a bit more than 100 miles), so I'm surprised that he's missing it.

I'll be hoping against all hope that he has a WC.

Maybe ... either that or his dire loss in R2 last week was a recurrence of the injury that made him retire the week before. Let's hope for a WC!

Can't see any of those Brits progressing to be honest.

Hope Phillips isn't injured. Chance of a British wildcard in Spain must be pretty slim mustn't it?

Then again, we clearly got one into the qualifying...
(maybe its tenispain paying us back for Lopez's wildcard into Queens!)

It's common for local foreign talent to get wild cards even at Challenger and Tour events and there are loads of such cases in Futures.

Morgan once received a qualies WC for a Futures in Gandia, which is near Valencia. Ward has received main draw WCs near his academy.

But I seriously doubt that Murcia is close enough. But let's hope....

Anyone know anything about Ben Levi and why he got a wildcard?

Also, shocked that Robert Dee managed 5 games in one set. Must have been so close to forcing a tie breaker. He must be getting better!

Morgan didn't get a wildcard. Don't know where he is.

the top seed he beat in France is only 8th seed here. So it looks a strong draw...then again last weeks France F1 was really easy draw and look what happened.

His lack of appearance this week suggests his loss to Flock may indeed have been hampered by injury form previous week...

That would be no ranking points scored by any of the 20 British men who were in singles events around the world this week then.
