Girls : Les Petits As - ETA 14 and Under Category 1 - 2007.

Our best five players in that age group, I guess - Jessica Ren, Jennifer Ren, Sian Bayliss, Amy Askew and Laura Robson.

Jessica won a round in a very strong field last year even though she was two years underage! Hopefully she will make some serious progress this time.

Hannah Orlik will play.

Singles draw:

Jessica Ren wasn't given a seeding.
Jennifer is the ninth seed. Laura Robson and Sian Bayliss go unseeded.

Jessica won comfortably with a 62 62 scoreline. Laura Robson won 75 75 and Jennifer won 61 61.

Jessica faces a tough match in the second round - a girl ranked 9 in Europe. If she pulls that one off somehow, she's likely to face Orlik.

They don't call this the best thing in 14s for no reason....

Would you believe it?? They actually have Livescores.

Woop! Woop! I can follow Sian, Laura and the Rens.

Sian lost 3 and 1. Amy Askew won 3 and 2. The Martin-Merchant girl lost 0 and 3.

So Laura, Amy Askew and the Rens through to the second round.

Just being picky but she beat the 13th seed (who's ranked 9 in the category i think). The 9th seed (ranked at 6) is Jessica's sister, jennifer.

Jamatthews (or anyone else), has Jessica played Orlik before?

Jessica lost 0 and 1.

Not exactly anything to be ashamed about as Orlik is the best 13 year old out there and Jess is playing underage. She'll be in a position to challenge for the title next year.

Laura lost 2 and 0 to fourth seed Khristina Mladenovic of France.

Jennifer lost 36 63 06 to seventh seed Ingrid Radu on Romania.

Sian and Laura are  in the doubles quarters.
