Sutton 25K

This tournament takes place next week.

Keothavong will be the 2nd seed, South, O'Brien and Amanda Keen are also entered. Wildcards are likely to go to Baltacha, Georgie Stoop, Naomi Cavada + 1 one other.

I'm hoping to go on the Tuesday, anyone else thinking of going ?

Don't you think Karen Paterson is worth a wildcard after winning the $10k in Sunderland last week?

Baltacha has withdrawn due to injury.

Come on, we all know who from that list David wants to watch lots of. Part of her name rhymes with wobbly!

Sorry to hear that Elena is injured again.

Haha, how did you guess Steven !  I'll be definately checking her match out and taking lots of zoom photos

I'm going on the Monday so will get to see first round qualies action - Rebecca Llewellyn, Danielle Brown, Natasha Khan, Anna Smith, Julia Bone, Olivia Scarfi, Anna Fitzpatrick aswell as Webley-Smith. Should be interesting to see them in action, I'll take pics of the others aswell as provide a full report.  I'm also interested to check out qualies wildcard Jade Windley after some of her recent results.

I'm happy to text score updates so if anyone will be able to post them on here throughout the day, send me a pm.

I hadn't read the Sunderland 10K thread when I posted this topic so I hadn't realised that Karen had won the title, that was a fantastic set of results and you say, she thoroughly deserves her wildcard into Sutton. Hopefully she can have a good run, she's aiming to break the top 300 in the first 6 months so she'll need some good results in 25Ks aswell as the 10Ks.

It's such a shame about Baltacha, I had wondered why she wasn't competing in Sunderland and Hull. I wonder what the injury is, hopefully not too serious. She is just so unlucky, has the back surgery and then plays superbly during the Aberdeen Cup beating the on-form Katie O'Brien and then gets struck down by yet another injury

Lucy Warburton  4-6  1-4 Dranets

- she has a good serve & big shots from the back, but Dramets is a good counter- puncher. Also Lucy has missed some very easy short balls & volleys.
