On GRMB it says that Boggo and Mike Raff are splitting up.
Suprised it doesnt seem to have been mentioned here, tho' I had heard something that has led to me not being as suprised as I would have been a few months ago.
Anyone know anything about it. Apparently Boggo might be linking up with Peter Lundgren.
i think mike has done well to get boggo to where he is, lets face it mike wasnt known b4 boggo, and has made a name for himself through his work with alex, but i think maybe alex does need someone fresh to take him the next step. lundgern would be great tho, a top class coach for alex maybe work really well for him, as he has shwon us several tiems what he can do, he just needs someone to bring that out week in week out.
maybe the stuff with mike was effecting him in aus might explain his loses, i know him and mike got on well off the court, so it could have been diffciult for him.

Raphael is clearly doing the business with Mackin, so must be a good coach, but Lundgren if available and willing is too got an opportunity to turn down!!!
Alex Bogdanovic, the British No 3, has decided to part company with Mike Raphael, his coach, after a defeat in the first round of qualifying here. It would appear that the LTA has a ready-made replacement in Peter Lundgren, who has a contract to work 35 weeks a year in British tennis.
so Johnny is right that there is no confirmation there, but Neil, you would assume, would be in a psotion to know more than most, so the comment may be more than pure speculation/wishful thinking.
Boggo has made mention in the past of how good it was to have Peter at shewsbury for his 1st few matches.......

I spoke to Alex yesterday, he confirmed that he and Mike are splitting up. He said that it had just got to a stage where Mike had helped him a lot but couldn't give him any more.
He says that he's now going to be coached by Peter Lundgren. Lundgren will be working with him for 20 weeks per year as he's also now the coach of Josh Goodall and will be spending 20 weeks working with Josh.
Shame for Mike I guess as he was really looking forward to getting his first top 100 player but he's done a fantastic job with Alex and has really boosted his credentials that way. Hopefully Mackin and Delgado can continue their ranking rises and Kasiri can make top 500.
Fantastic news for Alex and Josh though, they must be delighted, Lundgren's one of the world's elite coaches, top 5 I'd say
i think this could be a erally good oppourtinity for both alex and josh, it would be great if josh can shoot up to near boggo level so they are at the same events etc, would make it easier for Lundi (i am going to call him Lundi cause i can sepll that).
hopefully Lundi can give boggo and josh what they need to make the respective step up's required.
Draper is certainly putting hsi money where hsi mouth is, bout time someone was prepared to put some faith in our current players and not just write them off. Physcoloicaly it might help alex and josh, just to be given such a good coach with their self belief, just like we saw andy improve b4 brad even had to chnace to do anyhting.

Let's hope not: Hopefully he can carve out a niche as the man who can take the promising guys ranked 300- 600 and get them to a point where the LTA appoints an elite coach.
mackin and mike splitting would be strange as Alan seems to have come on so much under him, he was on the point of retirement and he's now talking about top 100 ambitions.
i guess we will have to wait and see how everyhting devlops, mike i think is employed by the lta now, so maybe they are wanting him to work else where, there is no news on the lta website, abotu alex and josh with lundi, i know we have low expectations for heir bnew stories, but they are getting better

Mike hasnt been employed by the LTA, unless that is something extremely new.
His work with Alan and Boggo wasnt under the auspices of the LTA, and it leaves him in a vulnerable position, if players that were working with him go, how's he gpoing to pay the bills?
