Have any of you ever seen Serra Zanetti play? I think I have....iirc she has the weirdest serve I've ever witnessed. She seems to stop half way up and then start again.
Johansson's 2nd win over Katie this year (she also beat her in 3 sets in WTA Auckland qualies in week 1. Still a good run for Katie this week, hopefully another will follow next week in Sutton.
By the way, just to explain why Georgie Stoop didn't get the lucky loser place. That wasn't Georgie's fault, it's just that according to Sarah Borwell a new rule has been introduced this year in which the lucky loser spots are awarded by drawing names out of hats to stop the top seeds in the qualies, tanking final round matches. This is happening in challengers now aswell as the slams.
I haven't seen either of the Serra Zanetti sisters but I remember when Bally once played Antoinella and got really frustrated and lost in 3 sets as Antoinella is a human ball machine, just gets everything back. Afterwards, Bally's coach described it as a good learning experience for her. Bally described Antoinella as "a bloody pain in the arse !"

Interesting news on LL spots. Ultimately its probably a good thing. Pity it didn't work out in this case...
Yeah I think that the new LL spot rule is a lot fairer though as steven always says I've never understood why top seeds would want to tank the final qualies round anyway as they'd be forfeiting the points for qualifying.
