Dallas is the week after next.

Jamie won't be able to play next week even if he loses his quarterfinals. Qualies sign in is today and Waikiloa and Delray Beach are more than 4,000 miles apart.

Yay! Go Baker! Great week from him.

Stakhovsky is a very tough ask up next, he looked pretty good when I watched him in Davis Cup although I've kept an eye on his results since and he seems pretty erratic so hopefully he's has an off day.

Fab Dab from the Baker man....make me a champ as fast as you can !!!!

Next match...who knows....going for him in 3 !!!

According to MTF, Jamie Baker has ground out a win against Stakhovsky 4:6 7:5 7:5, to secure his biggest points total from a tournament for over a year.

More to follow ...

Or is 30 points his biggest haul from a single tournament ever? I'm pretty sure it is!

In addition, Jamie's new points total (140) would have got him 279th place in this week's rankings - just one place off his career high. Both Jamie and Richard are playing for new career highs tomorrow as well as for places in their respective Finals!

If true that is a brilliant result for Jamie Baker. 30 points and counting

Jamie's best performance to date was winning GB F14 (Nottingham) last year for 18 points so this is without doubt a career best week.

Got to say I didn't expect Jamie to win that one. Boy do I love being wrong!

Who's up next?

Jamie for the title!!!

Fleishman or Odesnik.

Fleishman is WR 170. He qualified and reached R2 of the AO (W Calleri R1, L to Arthurs R2) and has beaten Boggo, Childs and Bloomers in the last year or two.

Odesnik is WR 195. He beat MAckin last May, the only Brit he has played in the last couple of years.

Jamie made the semis!!!!!

What a great week for him in Hawaii! To beat Oudesma, Frutterro and Stakhovsky shows he's matured at challenger level and hopefully he can really kick on now!

Safely back in the top 300 as well to give him a better chance of scraping some DA's into main draws and better qualies seedings!

Delighted for him!

In this form why not beat Fleishman or Odesnik!!!!!!!

It'll be Odesnik who beat Fleishman 7-6(5) 6-3.

He is 21 and ranked 195. His career high was 157 in Feb 2005 so it looks like his career has stalled a bit in the last year or so. He lost to Waske in AO qualies R2, and before this tournament lost in R1 of his previous 4 challenger tournaments.

That info hasn't helped me! I've no idea if Jamie can beat him but think its possible!

Jamie meets Odesnik

The other semi-finalists are Lu and Russell, Jamie is mixing it with the big (Challenger-level) boys now!
