I think Ed Corrie is a nice guy but he has no chance he struggles to win challenger matches. Better if McHugh or Loffhagen  got the QWC

I think at this stage of their careers they'd both be better off with MDWC's at Ilkley

Stuart Fraser's tweet: Andy Murray to decide in the morning whether he will play at Queen's next week or not. Draw at 12 noon.

Very lastminute.com. I am sure he so wanted to avoid getting into such a position,

Marvellous. James ward plays bhambri in qualies. Ed corrie also in qualies.

With delpo out, they must hope Andy plays, otherwise kyle, Evo, Jay and cam will turn out to be the star draws.

Jamie is in the doubles, plus a dis-service to all other non GB players...for instance, I would like to see Lopez, Stan, Nick, Shappo, Goffin in addition to our GB men. I surely will not be the only one.

true, agreed. Disingenuous of me !

But totally understandable that he would want to see how his hip felt next morning after the practice sets.

Can anyone remind me, if Andy decides not to play, with the q draw made, what happens to his place? Is it filled from the highest alternate still and taken out of qualifying or qualifying top seed?

Also, did the SE places get filled from this week's events? Or weren't there any?

I had kinda assumed that if Andy plays he'll get an MDWC - well cos he's Andy.

Andy doesn't need a WC. He's on the MD entry list based on his ranking at the entry date cut-off ( before his French Open 2017 points came off ).

So unless and until he withdraws he has a place hence Jon's question re what would happen to it. I guess it would depend when he withdrew whether they could still promote the highest alt out of qualifying or whether it would be a LL.

I've administered a bollocking previously for you staggering onto here and wittering away. Enjoy your run. You're equivalent to Donald T for fake news.

This. Good to see people calling out persistent fake news.

Best chance goes to James Ward out of the QWCs.

Ed Corrie would be better at Ilkley.

I also assume that even if his ranking at entry date wasn't good enough, he could have used his Protected Ranking to gain entry anyway, something that I am sure he would do at Wimbledon if he chooses to play.

Nope once again he would not need to. He is already in main draw for Wimbledon!

Hurrah. Just as well since Benneteau had already started his q match.

I'm confused now, when are the rankings dates taken for a 500 and a GS?
