Boys: 59th Trofeo Bonfiglio - Campionati Internazionali d'Italia Juniores, Italy, clay - Grade A (Week 21)

A strong field for the Italian GA event, and Jacob Fearnley will have his work cut out against a seeded clay court specialist, though it is the Argeninian's first ITF tournament since early March

R1 (L64)

(14) Facundo Diaz Acosta (ARG) v Jacob Fearnley

Why are the top GB boys and girls not playing this tournament. George, Jack, Aiden and Emma?

It's a grade A and most use it as a warm up for RG

Emma just won a 15k event on hard in Isreal. Not likely to play here too

Although the majority of top juniors are here all of our RG main draw quartet have been playing other tournaments last week or this in Africa or on a different surface, so I am not surprised that they are not here. More surprising to me is that none of them are playing the Belgian G1 next week, which is often used by those who opt out of the Italian GA.

Jacob will presumably play tomorrow with scores at scores.tennisticker.de/ita/sb.html

Losses in singles and doubles for Jacob quickly ends British interest

R1 (L64)

(14) Facundo Diaz Acosta (ARG) d. Jacob Fearnley 6-4 6-4
