Just to note that young Kylie Bilchev also played the qualis but had to retire after winning the first set. Which is unusual so hope she's OK.

A disappointing result for Anton against a seed, but not one with an outstanding record in ITFs

R1 (L32)

(8) Mathys Erhard (FRA) d. Anton Matusevich 6-3 2-6 6-2
Emile Hudd v Baptiste Anselmo (FRA)

Erhard was champion of France in 2017, I believe.

But he lost to Jake F.

And to young Harry Wendelken.

Shame that Anton couldn't make it closer.

Emile's match has been delayed by rain, and may or may not get on court today.

Just to point out that the Luxembourg girl, Molinaro, won this. She's a junior, age 17, but already WTA 450 in the world. Lots of people talking about her .....

The Italians had a pincerhold in the boys - they do love their clay !

A lad ranked 250 or so in juniors won the title. He's the boy that Harry Wendelken trounced in Sweden. But that was indoors on hard which is a different kettle of fish.
