Don't seem to be too many GBR names on the winning side in the early rounds of these events....

Yes, you're not wrong..... I thought about leaving some out but I figured you can't just put the good news....

There's been a few OK-ish results today though:

Tunisia, G5:

R1 Girls: Morgan CROSS (GBR) [1]     6-1 1-6 6-3     Wiem BOUBAKER (TUN)

Qatar, G4:

R2 Boys: Alec DECKERS (NED) [7]     6-3 7-6(7)     Harry LAZELL (GBR)

Malta, G5:

R3 Girls: Matilda MUTAVDZIC (GBR) [6]     0-6 7-6(3) 6-3     Arianna ZUCCHINI (ITA) [12]

(NB I love the fact that girl is called courgette - seriously? smile)

Tillie still going well:

Malta, G5:

QF: Matilda MUTAVDZIC (GBR) [6] 6-2 6-3 Anna MARTEMYANOVA (UKR) [2]

She's in the dubs SF too.

Matt Clegg and George H have made the dubs final.

(Grace and Vicki lost their doubles SF)

Nice win for Tanysha over the second seed:

Tunisia, G5:

R2: Morgan CROSS (GBR) [1] 6-3 6-2 Hoziane KITAMBALA (BDI)

Tanysha DISSANAYAKE (GBR) 6-1 6-1 Ferdaous BAHRI (TUN) [2]

The two girls are into the dubs SF. As is Joe Leather and partner.

Harry must be about our youngest ranked junior, born Oct. 2003.
And Aaron is about our oldest, born Jan. 11th 2000.
Nice they're playing together, and beating the third seeds and making the final. Good luck, boys !

Qatar, G4:

Dubs SF: Aaron HEPBURN (GBR) / Harry LAZELL (GBR) def. Alec DECKERS (NED) / Thijmen LOOF (NED) [3] 7-6(6) 4-6 [10-5]

No singles title for Matilda but a very nice week with a dubs' title and a singles RU place:

Malta, G5:

FINAL

Amarissa Kiara TOTH (HUN) 6-1 6-3 Matilda MUTAVDZIC (GBR) [6]

No title either for Morgan and Tanysha - although it was 11-13 in the MTB which is pretty heart-breaking:

Tunisia, G5:

DUBS FINAL:

Ferdaous BAHRI (TUN) / Olivia GRAM (DEN) [1] 3-6 6-3 [13-11] Morgan CROSS (GBR) / Tanysha DISSANAYAKE (GBR) [2]

But Tanysha is into the final in the singles:

SF: Tanysha DISSANAYAKE (GBR) 7-5 7-6(3) Marine SZOSTAK (FRA) [7]

Matilda's points from the singles RU and doubles titles should take her into the top 500.
