Everyone knows about Leander but Purav Raja is one special tennis player.

Good stuff. Dom has now defended his 180 L16 points from here last year. Could be (4) Herbert & Mahut next.

It isn't.

L16: Hans Podlipnik-Castillo & Andrei Vasilevski (CHI/BLR) vs Marcus Daniell (NZL) & Dom Inglot CR 92 (38+54)

A lot of big doubles seeds have fallen so far, Jamie and Bruno in good company. Noticed they left court separately, not sure if all happy in that pairing. I realise they are friends, must make it harder when things don't go well.

Well done dom and partner, last brits standing and last 16 match up they won't fear

I realise this may be controversial but I've never been convinced by Jamie's partnership with Bruno.  I know he was desperate to set that up. and obviously they enjoy playing together, but personally I felt he should have stuck with John Peers as I felt they would have continued to progress.

E.g. the local WCs, Big Sam Groth & Lleyton "the Aussie Scrapper" Hewitt, taking out JJR & Tecau (3) by 7-6(2) 4-6 7-5!  wink

Now that would be a story, if Hewitt went on to win!

Especially as this is Sam Groth's farewell tournament too.

Kubot and Melo are threatening to go into another stratosphere in ranking point terms, live 2590 points ahead and counting with the next 9 in the rankings after their joint #1 spot already out. The joint #12s those young Bryan twins, runners up here last year, are now the next highest ranked left.

And they now face Big Sam & the Aussie Scrapper after Andújar & Ramos retired at 3-3 in the first set!

It's a different match up, the Columbians can overpower the Indians which Murray & Soares can't do which meant their match was skill vs skill.

Dom and Marcus have won the first set 6-4, and it is 2-2 in the second.
