Well, it's a bit of a turn up for the books that Danielle Daley has just put out Jodie Burrage at the British Tour event in Stirling. Danielle won 6-4 6-0!
I don't know if that is: Jodie, are you injured, what are you up to? Or: Danielle, that's mega and amazing!!! Or both
Maia is through to the semis too in the top half.
The other two semis are still to play.

Yes it would be really interesting to know the answer to the questions you pose her CD. The second set 6-0 just doesn't sound like Jodie so I would certainly surmise something was up with her. I guess we'll see whether and/ or how she turns up for Glasgow next week.

The Tier 2 event in Corby has some of our good youngsters taking part this week.

In the Last 16 are Lilly Mould, Anna Loughlan, Maria Budin, Kat Barnes, Kira Reuter, Alicia Dudeney, Aleksandra Topalovic, Olivia Peet, Alessandra Ruggieri, Anna Popescu, Emily Morton, Tamara Malazonia, Iman Garshong, Eve Brady, Martina P Jennings, and Savannah Dada-Mascoll.

Hopefully Alicia won't turn up as she's playing in Macon this week.


ADD: Just seen the main draw and, indeed, she's withdrawn.

But Jodie B is in as a wildcard.

I missed Miriam Bolkvadze who was sixth on the entry list, but has ended up as second seed. I wasn't expecting the draw until tomorrow when qualifying takes place.
Looks like the weather may disrupt travel sufficiently to make it awkward for me to go and watch this year.
