The main junior events this week are the Davis Cup and Fed Cup finals in Hungary. Today sees the finals, with the Davis Cup featuring top seeds Czech Republic (who beat GBR's conquerors Croatia in the semis) and third seeds USA. The Czech Republic are led by Dalibor Svrcina, ranked a remarkably high 53 for a 14 year old. The Fed Cup final features the top two seeds USA and Japan. US Open champion Amanda Anisimova is in the US squad but not playing this weekend (injury?) but Caty McNally has just won the opening rubber. French Open champion Whitney Osuigwe plays the number 1 singles today, with the two Japanese girls also top 50.

Live streaming of both finals is available via www.itftennis.com/news/273403.aspx

Both the JDC and JFC went to the top seeds - Czech Republic and USA respectively winning the finals, both winning the two singles in straight sets ( see www.itftennis.com/news/273879.aspx and www.itftennis.com/news/273880.aspx for detail - it transpires that Amanda was ill rather than injured, but Caty proved more than adequate as a replacement)
