I say Alex Ward

No, that boat if it was ever afloat rather appears to have sunk for now.

The Spanish have announced the venue as Marbella ( Puente Romano Sports Complex ) subject to ITF approval.

Just 499km then - each way of course.

I had better start looking at hotels before the prices start to soar.

Looks like many of the hotels are closed in that area at that time of year.

Thanks. Booked a cheapy for now.  Might upgrade if I win the lottery between now and then.  Just got to get a ticket now.

I wonder if they would do press accreditation for social media ... worth a try?

Gone for this one at the moment

https://hotellimamarbella.com/

Just 47 euros per night with breakfast included and a brisk 30 min walk to the venue.

With Andy out of Australian Open it seems inconceivable he will play DC versus Spain in early Feb. With that in mind, clearly Kyle will lead the ranks. Jamie and presumably Dom will play doubles as none of our other singles players is likely to be able to step into doubles as well. Who will be our second singles player, for a clay court tie. Cam seems the likely choice, people here have mentioned alex ward, is there anyone else with a likely chance of making the line up?

No.  It will be Cam with Liam as the 5th player.  IMHO.

Jay and Alex will be there as hitting partners.

Got to consider surface too. Not saying it won't be Cam as second singles player but without really investigating I think he has much less pro experience on clay than some of the others mentioned.
