All the boys seeds reached the quarters, but there was carnage in the bottom half of the girls draw - unfortunately including Destinee. Emile takes on the worst player in the draw, while Victoria tackles Mark Petchey's younger daughter. Five of our six singles entrants are in the doubles semis (MJ and Monica Raviraj missed out with their respective partners).

Boys R2

(1) Emile Hudd d. Christophe Pognon (FRA) 7-6(3) 6-2

QF

(1) Emile Hudd v (5) Christiaan Worst (RSA)

Girls R2

(5) Victoria Allen d. (WC) Beverly Matsiwe (ZIM) 6-3 6-1
Tiffany Lagarde (CAN) d. (2) Destinee Martins 7-6(5) 1-6 6-3

QF

(3) Myah Petchey (RSA) v (5) Victoria Allen

And both by 8-10 in the MTB ! furious

Still a productive week at this level. Doubles runners-up get the same points as winning a G4- singles get more confuse

Emile's opponents are getting fewer games as the week goes on - a hard act to continue. He plays the same opponent as in the previous 2 finals here (one each). Victoria plays the Canadian who shared the previous two finals with Destinee

Boys SF

(1) Emile Hudd d. (4) Sheil Kotecha (KEN) 6-1 6-0

F

(1) Emile Hudd v (2) Mehluli Don Ayanda Sibanda (ZIM)

Girls SF

(5) Victoria Allen d. Shrivally Rashmikaa Bhamidpaty (IND) 6-3 6-3

F

(5) Victoria Allen v Tiffany Lagarde (CAN)

But only a quarter of them count towards a player's ranking

The sequence of runners-up here is continued, so we end up with just one out of 3 singles titles in Zimbabwe in both boys and girls events

Boys F

(2) Mehluli Don Ayanda Sibanda (ZIM) d. (1) Emile Hudd 7-5 7-6(4)

Girls F

Tiffany Lagarde (CAN) d. (5) Victoria Allen 7-6(5) 1-6 6-1

I think the Brits have had a good run. Tiffany Lagarde has been a fly in the ointment - and is definitely one to watch
