Esther Adeshina was playing a Grade A last week, and has to adjust to being top seed in a G4 this time. After 6 months of Southern African tournaments MJ Changwereza is 4th seed.  Just 5 non-Brits in the draw ( http://www.itftennis.com/juniors/tournaments/tournament/info.aspx?tournamentid=110003953 )

Only two girls (Erin and Esther) and two current West Hants boys (Toby and Jack) in the ITF.

Does look like a bucket load of players in the Tennis Europe event though!

To follow up on Hilda's post, just a quick detour for the Tennis Europe U14 event:

TENNIS EUROPE U14 SFs:

(1) Andrea Pineda v (5) Hannah Smith
Savannah Dada Mascoll v (6) Alicia Dudeney

(Hannah put out the third seed from Australia, Savannah beat the Spanish 8th seed and Alicia defeated British second seed, Issy Pursey).

Just to say, there's an interesting article from about 6 months ago about Andrea, who's one of our best youngsters, and comes from a very normal, indeed 'lowly' for tennis, background.

Sort of backs up the points from Oakie and Jaggy about the luck that kids in her position need to have a chance - a coach who'll do it for free, a full school scholarship, etc.
