Eva seems a lovely girl and is a decent player but nothing amazing. It really was a great chance for Hannah to get her ranking. Hopefully, though it'll just be a matter of time (she has until September, I believe, when the others come off).

Of course, the ranking in itself is not crucial and as long as she has progressed as a player after today's match that's all that really matters.

But given we have so few 15k tournaments, it's far more cost-effective to travel abroad when you have a low ranking (and so will be seeded in the qualis or maybe even make the main draw) than to be unranked.

Ola has taken the first set.

Jeanne Boualem, her opponent, is well-ranked enough (550 or so?) but has been on a dreadful run of form recently.

The winner of this match plays Alicia next.

Allez, Ola.

Olivia took the first set v Ella.

Yes, so close to an official ranking with the potential benefits you describe

Her current two counters come off in consecutive weeks 02 and 09/10/17, so yes effectively late September tournaments.

Brilliant finish, Ola.

Always put your 10p on Ola to close out a tight match she has a head on her shoulders....

Only born in 2001, but beat Boualem, ranked 564, and admittedly - as said - on a bad run but all the same.

Great job, kiddo !
