The mens Tier 1 event in Ilkley, 1st week in August will have increased prize money funded by the club, £1,500 to the winner. That should hold appeal to quite a few players

I assume that Ed will have a wildcard into the Wimbly qualis, whatever. Neil would surely make the play-offs whatever (as assuming there's no chance of him getting a quali wildcard). But this at least guarantees Neil a play-off place, if he does need one.
