Farris withdrew today - the first time I can remember seeing a Friday withdrawal actually being recorded on the ITF entry list.

Looks like Memphis Tigers and Mississippi State aka most of promising under 19s are out in force. Great shame Farris has had to pullout

That makes 7 GB men playing final qualifying round Futures matches tomorrow around the world - an unusually high number for a week with no GB Futures event taking place.

Shame all cashed out only the Tigers left. Shame we nearly had8! Perhaps a reflection on an increased number of UK college players out of college playing futures? they sort of skew the field a bit as they are US based

Things were going better for Andrew (Andy?) Watson : won the first set 6-3. But then lost the second 5-7. And now 2-2 in the decider

QF:  Julian Cash & Florian Lakat (FRA) UNR [not for much longer! wink ] defeated (2) Jesús Bandrés & Luís Fernando Ramirez (VEN/VEN) CR 1575 (724+851) by 7-6(4) 3-6 [10-5] biggrin

SF:  Sun Faijing & Tao Jun Nan (CHN/CHN) UNR vs Julian Cash & Florian Lakat (FRA) UNR

The Chinese pair took out the fourth seeds, the Whitehurst brothers, in their quarter-final.  Both the seeded pairs in the top half of the draw lost, too! disbelief
