Great chance to get a cheap 5 points for Liam, then one win in the MD would bring him the same points haul as last week.

But lets not get ahead of ourselves, eh!?

Btw, to expand on what has already been said on the Falun thread, Ed Corrie will jump to GB no. 3 on Monday week unless Kyle beats Querrey or Liam makes the semi-finals here, either as a Q or a LL.

Good luck Kyle!

Silly prediction time. Querrey wins Napa (W39), withdraws from Sacramento with fatigue and Kyle beats a LL in R1.

I did wonder about that possibility myself LOL - odds against Kyle v Liam (as a Q or LL) in R1? wink

QR2: (q3) Liam Broady WR 286 v (wc) Lovedeep Singh (USA) UNR

Singh is a local 20-year-old who is playing his first ATP-ranked event for 2 years.

FQR:  (q1) Liam Broady & Jordan Thompson (AUS) CR 558 (286+272) (*) vs (q2) Sebastian Bader & Erik Elliott (AUT/USA) CR 784 (251+533)

(*) As a result of their heroics in Napa last week, Liam has risen 19 places in today's rankings, Jordan 13

Liam & Jordan had a bye a QR1, while the q2s were given a walkover.  If the boys qualify, they will face Alex Bolt & Frank Dancevic (CR 618...) in the first round of the main draw.
