Week 36 - France F17 ($15,000+H) - Bagnères de Bigorre (Hard)

Ed gets young Johan Sébastien, fresh from winning the U18 nationals and the 10k in Belgium when I thought Jack would get the better of him in the quarters (got that wrong . . .) But then Ed comes fresh from winning the 15K+H ! Ed not down to play tomorrow though :::)))

R1: (3) Dave Rice  WR 284 v  Jaume Santo Valdivieso (ESP) WR 1742 (CH 1337 2006)  age 30

R1: (5) Ed Corrie WR 335 v  Johan Sébastien Tatlot (FRA) WR 626 (CH 533 July 2014)

They're top seeds in the doubles too and the only team with a bye through to the QFs.

Have just added a couple of accents to stop myself from going crackers every time I see the title of the thread! wink

Dave has got the first set 6-2 and has broken in the first game of the second set.

(Sorry, Stircrazy - I ignore accents blithely and without excuse).

Yes. I think as umpire, I would be forced to revert to "Game Lofo" for fear of making a complete a**e of myself.

Ed is letting Tatlot have an alarming number of break points but is better at dealing with them - he has taken 2 out of 2 and saved 12 out of 14. Tiebreak time in the 1st set.

And I'm sure all the other chair umpires breathed a huge sigh of relief
