(everyone else will get added to the table when they win some points)
*****************************
I thought I'd start this up again for the new year. I'll confess that I enjoy this competition more because I seem to be good at it but that's beside the point
Anyone can join in at any point during the year, the more the merrier. If there is no interest for this then I guess we'll stop and I'll just have to be declared the winner!!
Eblunt are you happy to do the table again each week? If not I'm sure someone will step up
Here is a copy of the rules from last year:
Each week all the participants make one prediction: Which player will get through the most ATP tournament rounds, and how many.
For example Tim , 2 rounds or Andy, 3 rounds (or Tim to reach the quarters/Andy to reach the semis)
There is a weekly total of points ( 120, for ease of division) shared between all competitiors who got it exactly right. Getting a bye in the case of 48 or 96 draws would not count as getting through a round, though a W/O would count.
In the case of no-one getting it exactly right, 60 pts would be shared between whoever got the correct player
Grand Slams are worth double points, ie 240 for completely correct, 120 for partially correct.
Running total of points carries forwards through the season, where the top 8 put have to make more predictions for the Masters Cup to determine the seasons winner.
Predictions would have to be provided by Monday 10:00am
So predictions for how far Andy will go in Doha below please.
