Where have you read that he is confirmed there, Greenleaf? The official website that you linked to does not have his name in the list of players, and in the news section they mention that last year he said he would return this year, and that the officials are going to remind him of his promise. It doesn't sound all that definite yet, unless you have information from elsewhere?

OK, ignore that last post! I have just seen on the other thread that it is mentioned in the schedule posted on Andy's own official site.

I think that Andy will take this title.

Alex is first alternate in Delray Beach so will definately get in there if he fancies it.

Mind you it's a Round-Robin event

Boggo will have to try RR at some stage, this event is in florida as well and he has a base overthere, as 1st alt he may have no choice soon, unless he pulls out now.

but it would also mean a lot of travelling with wrexham and begamo being his likey events either side although he could play 4 events in the US in a row (3 ch, + beach) instead althougth i dont think thats too likely, as would miss the indoor events over here.

Round robin might be good for a player like Boggo - if it was a KO, he'd be almost certain to get someone higher-ranked in R1. In a RR, he's likely to get two higher-ranked opponents, but that's two chances to cause an upset (and score some points) instead of just one.

If I was a player who was just scraping into main draws, I'd definitely aim for the RR Events.

The Challengers in US are also indoors, so you never know...
Boggo didn't mind travelling this year, he went from Europe to Bangkok and then back to Europe for Mons instead of playing in Tokyo. So he could opt for an unconventional schedule of Wrexham, Delray Beach and then Bergamo.

Boggo can pull out and play elsewhere even if someone pulls out and he is IN here. You can only not play elsewhere if you made the cut on the original entry list

but how come if you make th MD they remove you from the other alt lists?

Remember when we were watching thailand/india lists, unless they spoke to alex 1st maybe to confirm he wanted to play thailand.

You are only removed from other Alt lists when you confirm where you are playing. ATP ring players up to get them to commit to a event
