I agree, great draw for Tara. Her rd1 opponent is a 14 year old American wildcard ranked 678. Her best results have been reaching a couple of quarters in G4 and G5 s but most of the time she's lost in rd1 in her tournaments. Should be a comfortable win for Tara.
Unfortunately 4th seeded Czech Katerina Vankova lurks in rd2, she the world no 12 in juniors. She made the semis of RG juniors and the US Open. She also won a G1 on Brazilian clay earlier this year and made the semis of the prestigious Canadian Open. Recently she's made rd3 of Eddie Herr and the Orange Bowl. She's also ranked 556 in seniors and has made three 10k finals and a semi this year.
Jade plays the Austrian Xenia Samoilova in rd1. Samoilova is ranked 173 in juniors and this year she's won a G4, made a G2 semi and the quarters of a G1. Lost in rd2 of the Orange Bowl last week. She beat Jade 6-2, 6-1 in the summer on Austrian clay She's ranked 1414 in seniors.
Jade's results are much more dependent on what she is playing like than on who she is playing, so we don't really know what will happen. She will need to make it to the round of 16 to gain points.
Tara will rocket up the rankings with every win that she gets

I agree, she was injured for quite a while after the US Open and so when she returned to action in November it took severa; tournaments to shake off the rust. She has the ability to beat any of the top seeds in this tournament, whether she can get it together mentally in those matches is another matter.
Samoilova is a potential banana skin in rd1, however when she hammered Jade in the summer that was on Austrian red clay [probably Jade's worst surface], this will be on US cement which she trains on all year round. If Jade's playing well she should get to the last 16 [rd3] where she'd be likely to face one of the top seeds.
Dabrowski is 14 and ranked 294. She beat the Mexican Laura Aguilar [ranked 279] in 3 sets in rd1. I think she's one of the best 14 year olds in the world, this year her best results have been making a G4 semis and the final of a G5. Jade should have too much class though. Match starts at 1pm over there.
T Moore [GB] v K Vancova [Cze][4] or I Paraschiv [Rom]
The match between 4th seed Vancova and Paraschiv was cancelled yesterday, due to rain I presume. It's likely to be world no 12 Vancova who wins. This rd2 match will be played later in the day around 3.30pm there, Vancova's rd1 match is first on court at 9am.
What's the time difference between here and there, 5 hours ?
I ask as there are live scores on the tournament website
Jade needs to reach the finals to improve her total.
Again, a good draw for Tara. She should finish the week in the top 250. She can make a big jump up the rankings if she plays in South America in the early parts of the next year....
Jade didn't disappoint this time! She won 4 and 3. This is the first time since USO Juniors that she won two matches in a row.
What's a shame is that it is world number 9 Sorana Cristea who is next. Sorana is very much in form, she lost in both Eddie Herr and Orange Bowl to eventual winners, to Ula in the finals and to Nikola Hofmanova in the round of 16.
But let us put it this way - Jade thumped Ula 3 and 1 only months ago, and she is loads better than Cristea. Jade can defeat her if she plays her best tennis.
Tara lost 75 63. Not a bad scoreline against a top 15 player! She really needs a good draw or two.
By the way, the draws aren't working on my computer and I got these results off WTAW. I don't know Dyce's score.

Great win for Jade She's been training with Dyce a lot recently.
It's been a very nice draw but still good to see her capitalise on it and it'll do her confidence good.
As you say on current forum it would seem that Cirstea is likely to win in straight sets, she's got a senior ranking of 356 which is highly impressive at 16 ! This year she's made three 10k finals, in September she made a 25k quarter-final and beat Mel South in straights in rd1 and later that month she qualified for a WTA. In October she made a 25k semi-final.
This year Cirstea's form has been slightly disappointing in the slams, rd3 losses 3 times. She played Jade in August on Canadian hard courts and beat her 6-3, 6-2. She's also played Yasmin Clarke twice this year, both times on grass, winning 3 and 1 the first time but Yasmin took a set off her in rd1 of junior Wimbledon.
Extremely impressive effort from Tara Came close to taking a set off one of the best juniors in the world, I never thought it would be that close
