"Due to unpopular demand I have decided that now is the time to introduce myself properly.
I am not, as I think many suspected, a German-Russian tenis pro. In reality I am a Scottish basketball amateur. I would like to turn pro but I'm probably not tall enough or good enough. Either I need get a lot taller or a lot better, until then I will continue playing for fun.
I am 25, I live in Edinburgh, and I have recently completed an MSc in Financial Mathematics at Edinburgh Uni. My undergraduate degree was Maths&Physics at St Andrews Uni. I have tried a few different things in the past few months but I am now getting interviews for decent jobs in the financial sector. A lot of the finance/investment banks in Edinburgh are expanding right so I expect to find something fairly soon.
I would describe myself as a big sports fan. I am a season ticket holder at Tynecastle, I watch a lot of football, rugby, basketball, athletics, etc. I guess I was the classical British tennis fan who watches Wimbledon and not much else, then about three years ago I read that Scotland had 3 of the top 25 juniors in the world (Brewer, Baker, and Murray). Since then I have been following the sport a lot more closely. I like the one-on-one adverserial nature of tennis, although I am not great the technicalities of forehands and backhands etc.
