Kawana 25K+H Challenger

QR1: Andrew Kennaugh WR 763 beat Hidekazu Ina (JPN) UNR by 1 & 0
QR1: Myles Blake WR 855 beat Anthony Tuong (AUS) WR 1542 by 2 & 2
QR1: Chris Eaton WR 782 beat (q8) James Cerretani (USA) WR 683 by 6-4 5-7 6-4

QR2: Andrew Kennaugh WR 763 lost to (q1) Sebastian Rieschick (GER) WR 400 by 3 & 0
QR2: Myles Blake WR 855 v (q2) Johan Brunstrom (SWE) WR 487
QR2: Chris Eaton WR 782 v Sean Fyfe (AUS) UNR

Great to see all three Brits win a match in Challenger qualifying here , though unfortunately they are still two wins away from scoring any points.  Nasty QR2 draws for Andrew and Myles, but an excellent win by Chris in QR1 has set up a match against an unranked Aussie who beat a player ranked just inside the top 1000 in three sets in QR1 - a really good chance to reach the final qualifying round.

Super win for Chris ! Cerretani has beaten both him and Andy Kennaugh this autumn and has a really big serve, so that's an excellent result Should make the final qualifying round now and then who knows.

Nice to see Kennaugh and Blake winning again, shame that Andy's rd2 loss was so comprehensive. Rieschick is a former world junior no 1 who has yet to live up to his potential in the seniors. Hasn't been higher than 312.

Tough rd2 match for Myles, Brunstrom is a big serving leftie serve-volleyer. His ranking of 487 is a career high, last week he qualified for the Caloundra challenger and made the quarters beating Feeney and Guccione before losing to Luzcak. This year he's made 3 futures finals.

Unfortunately, Chris kind of went from hero to zero in the space of 24 hours.
