Had a look through the search feature on this lately as my friend's been doing a project, writing an article about fake webpages on sites like myspace and bebo.
It's amazing how many people there are pretending to be Elvis on myspace
They're all like, "hey I survived, I'm still here, living in some ranch in the middle of nowhere" or there are actually some even sadder people who make out they're Elvis writing from heaven.
I also discovered recently that you can actually bet on whether Elvis will come back to life and it's amazing quite how many people actually do !
I've got a bebo account, it's useful for chatting to the players and getting info for my websites. Only problem with Bebo is that it seems to have slowed down my computer.
Facebook is a more private version of both myspace and bebo, you can't just view anyone's page and even when you're registered there are restrictions on viewing people you aren't 'friends' with or in the same network as. It took off last year in the UK universities but was big in the US before then.

Sorry, I meant big in the US universities, it's only just become available to everyone, before was just a uni/college thing and then only if your college was 'registered'.
Either that or I've been dreadfully informed and duped!
