Ward is in the entry list. This will be his first ever direct entry into a Futures.

Only two qualifying rounds here and we had two players in the top 8 seeds, so surely at least one would get through. No - they both lost QR2 in straight sets.

Absolutely dire results so far in Tunisia.

James was 11th Alt and unfortunately didn't get in, or try to qualify.

Let's hope the man with the best name in tennis can give this thread a smilie.

Just a thought - has this forum ever had a kinda summary thread? Since I discovered this forum I have barely visited the ATP or ITF sites because everything I need to know is on here. A lot of people clearly put a lot of effort into this.

One thing that I would find really useful is a sort of weekly summary of what all the british boys/girls are doing; which tournament they're in; whether they're still in it; which round they were knocked out in; how many points they're looking to get etc.

Christ, don't you just hate it when new people come along and try to change the place!?

Just thinking out loud, really. To be honest, there's more than enough info to keep me amused, it's especially handy when the week number is in the thread subject!

Keep up the good work!

Sometimes we have had such a thread, usually titled 'Challengers week ...' and then 'Futures week...'. It's just the last couple of weeks that they haven't been done I think.

I agree they are useful to have all the information in one place, but, as you've said, all the information is around so why don't you set up the summary threads

Bah! I knew someone would say that (it's exactly what I would have said if someone else posted it!)

But, well, I'm one of lifes parasites, I'm afraid. I exist purely to give the workers a warm feeling that their trevails are worthwhile. Plus I would get a bollocking at work if they saw me spending too much time posting on tennis boards!

I usually do the threads 'Brits in Futures Week ??' / 'Brits in Challengers Week ??' but have not had the time over the last 2 weeks with family illness.

Should get back to norm next week !

A sad end to what had been an excellent qualifying campaign, but Ross is first in line for a LL place.

Truly abysmal - the three Brits all had lower-ranked opponents and managed just 1.5 games per set between them!
