"What are the chances that in the next four tournaments we both play in, I'll get drawn against him twice in R1 and be in the same quarter as him in one of the other two tournaments?"
... the answer would be "less than 1 in 1500".

Two convincing wins for Jonny, including a double bagel against the player otherwise known as Advan Lownsborov , but his opponent in the final qualifying round (many of whose points come from reaching two Futures Finals in Nigeria recently and winning the second) has lost just 5 games in 4 sets so far himself, just two more than Jonny.

On Sunday, Jonny is 1st on Court 3 at 10.00 GMT.

Impressive performance by Jonny, who tells Bladetiger that he played a decent match (the incentive was getting off court quickly enough to watch Liverpool play Arsenal, apparently!) and gets through qualifying for the loss of just 8 games in 6 sets!

R1: Alex Bogdanovic WR 120 v (8) Raemon Sluiter (NED) WR 84 R1: (Q) Jonny Marray WR 312 v (SE) Pavol Cervenak (SVK) WR 341 R1: Greg Rusedski WR 203 v Kenneth Carlsen (DEN) WR 133
At first sight, Cervenak is about as a good a draw as he could have hoped for, but the Slovak did beat Starace in Bratislava, the round after Strace knocked out Jonny!
On Monday, Boggo is 1st on Center at 09.00 GMT and Greg is 4th on Center at about 13.30 GMT. Hopefully the live scoring will be working by then!
In the doubles, Aucks seems to have taken a week off. Del is playing with Jonny and they have no. 4 seeds Jamie Murray and Jordan Kerr in R1, while Boggo is playing with Pole Tomas Bednarek and they have no. 3 seeds Kunitsyn & Tursunov in R1 ...

good draw for jonny considering he could have faced waske or johanssen.
strange james not playing doubles. maybe he realises ranking is high enough for aussie open. and perhaps boggo feels he needs a bit of match or serve/volley practice.
i wonder if jamie and jordan kerr will become a more regular partnership?
greg has gone down that far, haha lol, 203rd in the world his career is over. so the future is mackin and boggo - even the new coaches lundgren and gilbert wont be able to turn that lot around and im including delgado
Well, best of luck to Greg after the latest injury break (4 months?). This time last year, he entered this event to try to get back to British number 1. A nasty year for him, being fit in the clay court season (which he is not strong on) then injured for the hard courts... (which he can still compete on, at some level).
Hope it goes well for him-would be nice for him to bow out next year with grace on his own terms if he doesn't make it back properly from injury (Wimbledon and Newport?). But finger's crossed he can make some type of a comeback.
