I went for Simon Childs as this young lad has come out of the blue after just turning pro. Eveyone else listed above is doing what the should be doing....getting to finals/semis etc...no-one actually has won anything (Ok Bloomers winning a 15k future but he should be doing that)...except for young Childs. So he has my vote.

it a tough one, some of the younger guys have been impressive, but i think alex just clinces it duie to the lvl he has been playinjg at, the supriseing loss to new brit enemy lacko aside, i think his tennis has been very impressive recently, from hit match vs tim henmen he has pushed all his opponents. The kolding qf loss was a shame, but it was also a really tight match against an estabilished top 100 player.

i know we all expect boggo to be top 100, but it is still tough to get there, but bar murray, who was the last brit to make the top 100 - martin lee?

4,5,6 & 7 tho are all really encorgaing and letshope they can build on it.

I think it's between Boggo and Bloomers, because while the rest all had one really good week, they only really had one. Having said that, James did well to follow up his Futures SF with a win in QR1 at Aachen this week.

Hard to choose between B&B, but Bloomers just edged it for me because he was under so much pressure with lots of points to defend. I know this implies that all the tournaments at the moment are being played on his favourite surface and that therefore he should be scoring lots of points when those kind of tournaments come around again, but I've seen so many of the Brits crack under the pressure of having lots of PTDs this year (and there are a few still doing it at the moment with all those Sat points (not ) being defended over these few weeks) that it was nice to see someone thrive in that situation.

Haha! No.

Dan did extremely well, but you could really expect him to do well there. Apart from the Rungkat result that is.....

Bloomers on the other hand has really impressed me - a win over Patience, a Futures title without dropping a set and then a Challenger quarters.

I'm pretty confident of seeing him within 190 by the end of the year. Maybe even 180.

A real toughie here... As for me it's between the 3 some of Mackin, Bloomers and Boggo. As they've all had good months.. I'm going to go for Bloomers for reason that people have already listed as there's no point in saying them again and no I'm not lazy for typing them in myself

Soo tough to decide this month. But I've gone for Boggo in the end.

With 24 votes having been cast so far, Bloomers and Boggo are tied on 41.7% each, so at least I'm not the only one who thought it was between those two

I've gone for Boggo as he's made a real breakthrough this month, reaching the final of such a high quality challenger and getting to 114. It's a long, long time since a Brit won a 125K challenger, I think he may be the first ever and he'd never before reached the final of anything above 50K+H.

At the moment, with 27 votes having been made, Boggo is just shading it by one vote.

Count, Martin Lee was the last Brit to make top 100 singles [not including Murray], he did it in 2002, reaching the 2001 ATP Newport final rocketed him up the rankings.

Quiz question: Who was the last British woman to make the top 100 ?

Voted closed, Boggo is the player of the month, beating Richard by two votes in one of our closest ever polls.

The last British woman to make the top 100 was Claire Curran, who did it in doubles in 2005.

But since she made the top 100 she's hardly played and has plummeted down the rankings

Yes it's a real shame. I think she's been injured She looked like she could have gone on to reach the top 50.

Did she play at Wimbledon this year or was that in 2005 ?
