Does anyone know whether there are live scores for the Orange Bowl ?

Jessica and Jennifer Ren will also be competing. Jennifer came 3rd in the U12s last year, I think she's probably playing the U14s this year and Jessica will be in the U12s.

Hopefully Yasmin Clarke can do well, what's she ranked in U16s in the world ?

Tara Moore would be eligible for the 14 and under and 16 &U competitions

The lists aren't final. Registration ends today.

Regarding Yasmin Clarke - you don't have world rankings at 16&U level, only continental ones.

Even though its not final, its better to find out who is 'planning' to compete!

I would have thought that Naomi Cavaday and possibly Georgie Stoop would be going for the 18 and Us aswell.

I keep forgetting that Georgie is still a junior which makes her ranking progress in 2006 all the more impressive.

How well does Yasmin match up with the rest of the top U16s in Europe then ?

I think its difficult to see where yasmin ranked with the under 16s in europe, because she based in america (i think) and she doesnt play alot of juniors.

18&U Entry list in pdf format.

Jade is the only British girl in the main draw. Tara and Anna F are in the qualies.

Tara should have a good chance. Unless she draws Larcher De Brito that is......
But Larcher De Brito could get even get a main draw wild card.

16&U Entry list in pdf format.

Stephanie Cornish is in the main draw. Yasmin Clarke should get in as well. Looks like Broady will have to qualify.

My guess is that Naomi's Juniors career is over save for the Slams.

Girls 12&U:

Joanna Henderson, Alice Hopkins, Laura Robson and Jessica Ren are in the main draw.

Eden Silva and Isabella Fay Van Green are in the qualies.

I've read good things about Laura. Joanna got a lot of coverage compared to what other youngsters get here when she played in the Aberdeen Cup for Scotland.

I have absolutely no idea about how the seedings are done out here. Jessica is 13th in the ETA 14&U lists, making the highest ranked 12 year old in Europe at this moment. She must be one of the top few seeds out here.

Girls 14&U:

Sian Bayliss, Gabriella Phillips, Heather Watson and Jennifer Ren are in the main draw.

Elliesa Ball, Theresa and Nathalie Beazant are there in the qualies draw.

Heather Watson is in fine form as she recently won IMG's internal tournament in her age group and then had good results in 18&U tennis.

Laura Robson isn't seeded due that stupid "order of merit" rule USTA has.

Honestly..... they should make this a special case. It's ridiculous that the Eddie Herr champ will go in unseeded.

It'll be best if they are in different halves. Hopefully she won't draw Jess Ren in the first round.
That's almost as stupid as having Sharapova vs. Henin-Hardenne in the first round of the USO.

Jess and Laura are in the same half.

Joanna doesn't have a Brit in her quarter.
Alice Hopkins is in the same quarter as Jess.

C'mon Jess, we want bagels!

In 14&U:

Jennifer is the fifth seed.
Heather Watson is the twelfth seed.
Gabriella Phillips and Sian Bayliss are unseeded.

Draws:

I can't update regularly like I did during Eddie Herr - I have exams.

There isn't any sort of ranking system for 12&U. So seedings are determined by something called "Order of Merit".
As jamatthews was saying a few days ago, it depends upon the number of participants every country has. Since this depends more on discretion than on results, you cannot rate the players on an ordinal basis. Thus all the players are seeded at the same level.

Seedings at Junior levels are difficult to interpret, even at 18&U events. For example, this year at Sutton, Daniel Cox was the top seed. But he was making his debut there and was thus unranked!
