what im interested to find out is that do juniors get any freebies of they win tournaments? i mean, surely they get something out of the orange bowl! and the juniors playing in this tournament could get a mobile phone!

They get pretty cool trophies if they reach the final, don't know about freebies; though Dan did win some Doritos in Taiwan last week

In junior chess events around the world, you get quite a few freebies

They removed the boys entry list the day before yesterday. I deleted the file from my computer, but remember Evans and Willis being there.

Vierumaki has brilliant facilities. They even have a Futures although it's a really remote location. The field is very strong for a G4.

It will be interesting to see what Willis does out here. There are so many good 1990 players that I'll be really disappointed if we don't end up with at least three top 100 players in the Men's game.

Evans and Pauffley continuing their superb form from last week and a great win for Willis too. Maybe Evans can make the cut for Roland Garros juniors next year if he keeps up this form.

Greenleaf, do you think he'll play Redbridge or is he entered for a juniors that week ?

Do you have a link to the boys draw here ? I'm relying on the ITF site and they're always about 3 days behind

sadly i can't find the bangkok g4 entry lists. but i can't see him heading to either asia or the usa.

he may need a wild card into redbridge.

Great wins for Willis, Evans and Pauffley

Pretty good chances for all of them to reach the semis, I would have given Pauffley a decent chance of upsetting the 2nd seed given his big serve and power off the ground and the fast indoor courts. Willis' opponent looks the easiest on paper, but Vovk defeated the 4th seed in the previous round.

I doubt Evans will get a main draw wildcard for Redbridge, the entry list is so strong, the likes of Slabinsky, Bamford and Hutchins will be requiring wildcards to get in. Quite likely that Dan Cox will have to qualify too, though the LTA may take note of his success in Asia and reward him for that.

The other couple of results were kind of expected; Karatchenia and Vovk had beaten the 2nd and 4th seeds in preceding rounds so their games must be well suited to the courts.

Great win for Dan, continuing his superb recent form, hopefully he can make it 2 straight finals.

Evans plays Karatchenia in the quarters.

Actually, Willis defeated Vovk 6-3 6-3.

And believe it or not, he blasted Heliovaara away 6-4 6-2 in the semis.

Dan won 6-4 6-1 in the semis.

So we have an all Brtish final!!!!

Dan will crack the top 300 if he wins against Willis.

Willis defeated Evans in straight sets.

He is another one who has played brilliantly during the last ten months or so. He should get a few wild cards as I expect that Cox will start getting direct entries at some point of time next year.
