great to see scotland winning tough! if the scots continue this kind of form, then i think it will be a two way contest between them and italy.

I actually thought the Scots would be good for a draw, but fantastic result in the end.
As for our excuse for an English national team, I travelled for over 3 hours to Old Trafford and paid a lot of money to watch that pap. Nuff said there lol.
Also, how pathetic are the Welsh, 5-1 at HOME to Slovakia??? LOL but well done to the Northern Irish, very solid away draw to Denmark, possible the most overlooked result of the weekend after Scotland's win took the attention.

It was a phenomenal result for the Scots, I saw highlights on MOTD and they defended so well. In the 1st half you couldn't really see where they were going to score from as they played with 10 men behind the ball and just McFadden up front but credit to them, they really frustrated the French and made it very difficult for them to find any space. In the 2nd half, Scotland became a lot more adventurous, Fletcher is particular shone through and McFadden had a very good chance when he got between two defenders off a perfectly weighted pass from Fletcher. When the goal came, it was a superb finish, the ball came skidding through the penalty area and the half-volley was really well timed.
I'm really chuffed for Scotland, it'd be great to have two teams to support in Euro 2008 and it'll be so, so funny if neither Italy or France get through. Who would have thought that at this stage, Italy would be 8 points behind Scotland I think that Scotland need to beat Ukraine twice and then if they can get 1 or 2 points out of their remaining three games against Italy and France then they'll qualify.
England were back to their bad old ways of the world cup, the final ball was consistently terrible after we'd created great openings. Even so, we still should have won, how on earth did Gary Neville miss from 6 yards out, my mum could have scored that. You can see why he's never scored for England, I think he must have been surprised to find himself that far down the pitch.
Northen Ireland played superbly, if they can keep this form up they should definately finish in the top 4, they just need to find the form against the lesser teams !
The Republic of Ireland were so bad it was just funny, their defending would have made a conference team feel ashamed.
Two of the Slovakian goals were absolute crackers to be fair to the Welsh, I think they would have gone in against any national side.
