Alex has the class to beat Chiudinelli, whether he will or not is a different question.  Chiudinelli has had a strange year and currently stands at 188 in the world. He won consecutive $15k Futures tournaments in Kuwait in May, and he qualified and reached the thrd round of the US Open.  Apart from that, he has won very few matches.


Alex has 77 points to defend between now and the end of the year, but he seems to be in good form and there are plenty of indoor carpet challengers for him.  The cut for this year's Aus open was 384 points (Waske, ranked 116). Alex will need to defend his 77 points and win another 80 or so, a total of around 160 points beween now and the end of the season.    He has already won 40 of these in Mons and could win more.  Who thinks he'll do it?  I think it depends in part whether he can stay healthy.  Starting with Kolding in Denmark next week, there are 6 consecutive indoor tournaments. Has Alex entered them all?

i think entering 6 tournies is too much to ask, sounds like desperation!! boggo playing mons and reaching the semis, is a big boost to his confidence especially when he has to fightback against wauters! i think boggo knows his goal of reaching the top 100 is achievable by entering the right tournaments, hes playing in kolding on the 16th, then depending on how he does there, he probably enter the next tournament after that, then take a week off. i think Count Zero knows what his schedule is for the coming months.
