Ah well, it must have been tough coming all the way from India, with the jetlag and the change of surface, looks like they got a bit of a cuffing in the first set. At least the 2nd set was a lot closer, if Auckland and Delgado had got a couple of matches under their belt in Mons before meeting the 2nd seeds, I'm sure this one would have been a lot closer.

Liz [from the Rusedski site] wrote a report on the match:

"Not quite sure what to say about this one. Thought the lads were outplayed in set one by better serving, volleying, more powerful strokes and less errors. James and Jamie picked up in the second set but couldn't take any of the game points at deuce on the opposition serve although they did save their own. Final game with Delgado was lost to 15, with good returns, a double fault and a ball sent out by Jamie. I've seen James serve much better so I'm sure he will be disappointed after last week.

For a large part of the match I was 50% of the audience! Needless to say I didn't scream and shout and wave any flags. Olivier Rochus was on the main court at the same time preceded by a parade of the Belgian Davis Cup team. Alex and his coach plus various other players watched for a few games."
