Stepanek is still injured, right?

Someone on MTF says that Gonzalez won't play.

I seriously want to see Boggo. Have seen him only once (vs. Nadal ). He better arrive here early, the heat and the sweat is a bit difficult to get used to.

That's why he pulled out of the Poland challenger, qualifying begins on Saturday so he's arriving early this week to have plenty of time to get used to the conditions.

Let's hope he does well and qualifies for his 3rd ATP event.

greg has pulled out of mumbai, surely it looks like his career is winding down now, is he in anymore atp events this year?

I can imgaine his injury is still troubleing him, looks like it could be injections to get through this DC tie, and that he knows he wont be able to play in india so soon after ukraine

He isn't in anymore ATPs this year he wouldn't even be seeded in qualifying for Metz and Tokyo the week after Bangkok and he's missed the cut for Stockholm, St Petersburg and Basel by a long way.

It looks very much like he's going to call it a day very soon, can't see him dropping down to play challengers.

I wonder if he'll play just doubles in this DC tie or whether he'll want to have one last go at singles and take on Stakhovsky.

Well it looks like his last 'competitive' outgoing is the Aberdeen Cup

Yeah could be quite an emotional weekend given that he'll be facing Andy 3 times, hopefully our official Scottish tournaments reporter Drew can give us a great report like last year !!!

It'll be great for Alex if he does get in directly as it'll give him more time to adjust to the humidity of Mumbai.

Gonzalez, Kiefer and Rusedski have withdrawn from the main draw and Hartfield and Zib have withdrawn from the qualies.

Minar, Peya and Kubot are above Alex in the alts list. Are any of those guys or any others in the main draw looking likely to withdraw ? Is Stepanek still a doubt ?

I've updated the entry list to make it clearer as to who is out or in.

Minar and Kubot are still playing in the Polish Challenger so maybe if they get further they'll decide to pull out because they're still playing but that would affect the qualies seeding rather as I doubt they'll pull out until they have to if there's a chance they could make it in by direct entry. I guess we just have to hope and wait and see.

Minar has now withdrawn so Alex is just 3 places away.

Does anyone know if qualies start on Saturday or Sunday ?

Don't we need pins in Peya as well?

I have read on another board that Stepanek is out for the rest of the season (Hingis curse??) It isn't changed on steveg yet though.

Stepanek has withdrawn officially now so that leaves Boggo just two out. However, it's hard to see who else is going to pull out. I think we need pins in everyone in the draw.

Santoro has pulled out leaving Boggo as next in line but I fear he is going to be really unlucky here.

He is 2nd alt now for Bangkok!
