It would be great to see Josh win, but it wont be easy. Llodra is having a poor year by his standards, his biggest result of the year being an SF in a challenger, but reached the 4th round at the US Open in 2004, so he obviously feels comfortable here.
Anyway, lets hope that Josh can play a blinder and make the main draw. Can anybody think of another time that a Brit has qualified for two Grand Slams in a year? By the way, is this match best of 3 or best of 5?
great work by josh, llodra tho is a much tougher test, you can only beat whats on the other side of the net, but i think this is a step up for josh over the other two, it would be great if he can carry some of this into consistent wins at challenger lvl too for the rest of the year, and really must cut out the futures now, hopefully he can move up and challenge boggo (and greg :) for the number 3/4 spots.

Llodra will probably play a similar game to josh. He has great volleys from his time at the top of mens doubles, so it may be down to who hits the straps on their passing shots. Hopefully Joshs' serve will be too strong for Llodra to get a handle on.
Llodra is a decent player this year and has had a couple fo good victories this year including a very impressive 6-3 6-0 victory of Pashanski but since then he's had barely any wins this summer. I think Llodra isn't playing as well as he can and he seems to struggle with the bigger servers (i admit i dont know much about Goodall but isnt he a solid server?)
Im gonna go for Joshua in two tight sets 6-4 7-6 ..maybe even into a decider...

I saw him play doubles at Wimbledon this year and as far as I can remember...
He didn't serve-volley all the time but mixed it up quite well. His volleying was very good and his basline game not bad at all except when he made some terrible unforced errors, he needs to work on those to get higher in the rankings. I think he had a single backhand, but it might have been double I don't totally remember, sorry.

On MTF people are saying it`s been really heavy rain. Radiotennis says it`s on and off rain at the moment, just enough to keep the courts damp and postpone play. The guy seems quite helpful it`ll be ok soon.
has there been any play at all? Josh is on second so will we have a whole match to wait for?
On days like this is must be really frustrating to be a tennis player, i don't think i could cope with the uncertainty about when I was going to play and how many rain delays I would have during my match, it would drive me up the wall.

I don`t think there`s been any play. It sounds like it`s just been constant rain and drizzle.
