US junior grade 3 tournament

Jade Curtis was competing here as 3rd seed in a warm-up for USO junior qualies next week.

She lost in rd1 to Lauren McHale 3-6, 7-6[6], 6-3. A shocking result given that McHale is 16, doesn't even have a junior ranking and hadn't won a junior tour singles match before qualifying for this tournament.

Eeeek that is awful, things really seem to have gone down hill for her in singles recently!

Josh Milton played in the Boys' draw and did quite well. He reached the quarters before losing to the third seed in straight sets.

Didn't want to start a new topic so posted this here.
