Halfway through the championships and Team GB have 4 medals....Silver from Greg Rutherford, aged 19(i think) in the long jump and 3 gusty bronzes today from Rhys Williams in the 400m hurdles....Becky Lynne in the 800m and a nerve racking effort from Marlon Devonish in the 200m. So well done so far They are halfway through the medal tally of 8 predicted by the Team GB Performance Director.
Looking ahead Sotherton got a shot in the long jump, nathan morgan and phillip idowu in the triple jump and mo farah in the 5000m as well as some young guy in the 800m can't remember his name!! Plus the relays as well. So come on GB!
well done yes to the medal winners. but all in all its a poor performance for GB. a country with such rich athletics history should be doing much better - no golds so far? WTF?
becky lyne has really impressed me this year (gateshead was just wow!). i relaly have a soft spot for her now (cos she's a 800m/1500m and quite nice looking as well ). Think she could be the worlds best in 2 or 3 yrs
