British female player of the month - July

Nominees:

Anne Keothavong: Reached quarters of the Lexington 50K Challenger moving closer to bettering her career best ranking of 140

Mel South: Won her first 25K challenger title in Chengshu and reaching 25K semis in Felixstowe and Chongging. Overtook Sarah Borwell to move into top 200 for the first time and become British no 2. The ranking points she accumulated in Chengshu should take her up to approx 170.

Sarah Borwell: Reached 25K quarters at Felixstowe, breaking top 200 for the first time

Amanda Keen: Continued her fine comeback with a semis appearance at the 25K challenger in Felixstowe.

Naomi Cavaday: Naomi has competed entirely in juniors this month, compiling some impressive wins and racking up quarter-final appearances at junior Wimbledon, European Junior Championships and the Isospeed Junior Open in Austria.

Georgie Stoop: Reached the final of the 10K futures event in Frinton, beating Brits Yasmin Clarke and Jane O'Donaghue along the way. She's fast approaching the top 500.

I don't think this is going to be much of a contest.

Mel South.

Nope neither do I but we haven't had this poll for a while so I thought it would be nice to start it up again.

My vote goes to Melanie South with Naomi Cavaday coming 2nd for me after her success this month in the juniors.

Naomi for me, put up a huge fight in wimby main draw and she has really begun to put her name out there!! But I am a tad biased!!

But Mel definitely second!
