3rd Test: England vs Pakistan

Geraint Jones has been dropped for Chris Read. I like jones, but his keeping is suspect (although it has improved) and he's supposedly in the team for his batting but at the moment i think that Read is better in BOTH departments so im glad to see this change happen!!!!

England have reached 400 runs for the loss of 6 wickets (though that does include the wicket of Hoggard.)

Pietersen had retd hurt but is now back on and 124*, bell has made his 3rd consecutive century though its probably been his least fluent and impressive but a century nonetheless. Read also contributed wiht the bat - a handy knock of 38 so hopefully this combined with some good glovework keeps him in the team.

Damn - KP out for 135 a very good, if fortunate, performance.

England 421/7. Hopefully bell cna repeat his performance of last week and a lot of runs with the tail. He is currently 106* and has been joined by the batting wonder that is Mahmood.

Pakistan rally to 202-2 end of day 2....Englands bowling was very under-par....game could be heading for a draw for me...unless England knock them over for 300 ishhh....but can England take 18 wickets in the next 3 days ???

Mamhood takes 2 wkts in one over to leave Pakistan at 80 for 5...England still have 5 wickets to take in 2 sessions to win !!!

A gem of a ball from panesar to take the wicket of younis and now england are almos thtere. Pakistan are 128-7...

Panesar has a great list of victims now including yousuf (3 times), Inzamam (twice), Sangakarra (twice), jayasuriya, tendulkar, kaif, dravid!

So basically he's managed to get out pretty much the best of the sub continent batsmen! YOu know the ones who are good at playing spin and grow up on the stuff!!!
