as i am most interested in boggo i will look at it from his perspective. points wise, untill the end of the of November he doesnt have too much to defend now. i think he relaises that he is going to have to have a busy schedule from now on after missing so much of the start of the year, but hopefully the money he will have made from queens/notts/wimby and now newport should help fund the travels. He should be in a position to be seeded for the USOQ, unless he has a blinder here in newport i dont think he will make it high enough to make the MD in time, after the dc tie there are only 4 challengers (1 grass, 3 hard) b4 the USOQ and the MD cut must be happening in a week or 2.
once the USO is out of the way, and assuming he is still at challenger lvl he can play almost exclusivley on indoor hard/carpet, mixing it up with atp qualies possibly, looking at it he could play 6 stright indoor tournaments. Will GB be invloved with the Sep Dc tie? that could cause him to miss a few if he's in the team.
His aim must be to make the MD of the AO. and i think he must really set himself the goal like Andy did. This had definately been a bumpy year for alex, but i think he can still come out of it with a great ranking and if he isn't in the md of the AO i think he (and us) will be really dissapointed with himself. Then he will have a hard task to defned those 2 wins straight after.
